Ōkami certainly didn’t sell as many copies as Spyro, but it will forever be one of the best PS2 games and now one of the best retro games on Nintendo Switch in HD! She takes the form of a white wolf named Shiranui, and using the celestial brush, must give the world of Nippon a new lease of life. Well, players take the Sun Goddess Amaterasu on a journey to bring colour back to the world. It feels more like an artistic render of WindWaker than anything else, but the developer did state Zelda as being one of his main muses. Ok, so this is one of the best games like Spyro for gameplay feel, but the look is definitely different.
Imagine jumping into a water colour painting inspired by Sume-e ink artwork with Legend of Zelda vibes, and you’ll get the general vibe. With new and old friends, Spyro is on a quest to recover the lost eggs, defeat the Rhynoc army and stop the evil Sorceress.Ōkami could well be one of the best looking games I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing.

Spyro, with his friend Sparx the Dragonfly, is the only Dragon left who can traverse the six Homeworlds, free the Dragons and save the day. Spyro the Dragon: Gnasty Gnorc has returned from exile and has unleashed evil magic on the Dragon Realms, trapping the Dragons in crystal and raising an army of Gnorcs. Spyro's back and he's all scaled up! The original roast master is back! Same sick burns, same smouldering attitude, now all scaled up in stunning HD.
